An eccentric yet attention-grabbing event named 'Take Off Your Pants and Ride the Subway' recently 

took place in London, England, sparking widespread discussion. 

 

Participants of this peculiar event, held despite the chilly weather, 

turned up at a London subway station without their trousers, making quite the unconventional sight.

Reported by the Associated Press on the 7th (local time), hundreds of daring individuals, 

both men and women, embraced the quirky tradition of riding the subway sans pants 

as part of the 'Take Off Your Pants and Ride the Subway' event.

Originally inaugurated in New York, USA, back in 2002, 

this event has garnered the involvement of thousands worldwide, 

spanning over 60 cities, annually taking place in January. 

 

Following a hiatus from 2020 to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it made a return last year.

Participating in this event merely involves shedding one's pants and boarding the subway, 

all the while displaying a sense of nonchalance rather than any hint of shyness or inhibition.

Initially met with controversy owing to its rather sensational nature, 

the event has since transformed its purpose. 

 

It now aims to inject a sense of liberation into the lives of individuals caught up 

in the monotony of their daily routines.

While this unique event has seen participation in various parts of Asia, including China, Hong Kong, and Japan, 

it has yet to make its mark in Korea.
